Spotlighting our Tech’off lab
It is here at the B’TWIN Village (Lille, northern France) that our teams develop and conduct tests on all the plastic, composite and metal products in the DECATHLON product range (bikes, scooters, weight training apparatus, etc.).
From design all the way through to being put on sale, we test products to guarantee their quality and performance.

Analysis of materials:
mastery and anticipationWe speed up our products' development thanks to our analysis of materials. And we understand the issues that can arise at different stages of their life cycle. To find the best solutions, we rely on a network of in-house and external laboratories, in France and internationally.
DECATHLON standards:
safety and performanceOur products' safety and performance are vital. It's why we created DECATHLON standards: our own standards and tests where none exist in international regulations. With these DECATHLON standards, we can, for example, ensure B’Twin bikes come with a lifetime warranty.
International standards: sports products knowledge
We actively take part in drafting international standards for sports products. We evaluate the performance of our products and those of our competitors with the help of our sports knowledge and onboard measurement.
